Challenges of Rural Health Care
Independent provider facilities face increasing pressure from rising costs, workforce shortages, limited patient volume, and the need for advanced technology and data systems. Many health systems consolidate to achieve scale – but for rural communities, maintaining local control close to home is essential.

Charting a Sustainable Path
The Show-Me High Value Network was created to help independent provider facilities achieve the benefits of scale – shared resources, data, expertise and contracting power – while preserving their independence and community-first focus.

This Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) strengthens collaboration across members, enabling coordinated care in areas such as surgery, mental health, obstetrics, ophthalmology and more. A Clinical Integration Committee, with representatives from each member organization, will oversee quality and clinical initiatives. Our Business Integration Committee leads shared initiatives in pharmacy, telehealth, information technology, staffing and other operational areas. Together, we are building a sustainable future for rural health care in Missouri.

Looking to the Future
Our exploration into collective solutions in areas like pharmacy, telehealth, information technology, clinical staffing and more is ongoing. Leading these ventures is our Business Integration Committee, a group of selected operations leaders from our members. This committee oversees our shared service offerings and serves as a collaborative platform for these leaders to address everyday business challenges and share resolutions.

At the Show-Me High Value Network, our commitment goes beyond health care; it’s about building a sustainable future for communities. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to our mission, united in our vision, and grateful for the trust placed in us by our members and the communities we serve.
